What subjects do you offer tuition in?
We specialise in Maths and Physics from KS3 through to A-Level and International Baccalaureate (IB). This focus on Maths and Physics allows us to maintain deep subject expertise and ensure all our tutors are truly exceptional in these fields. Unlike agencies that cover all subjects, our specialisation means we can guarantee a consistently high standard of subject-specific knowledge and teaching for these subjects.
Do you offer online or in-person lessons?
We primarily offer online tuition, making it accessible wherever you are. Online sessions are highly personalised, using video calls and interactive whiteboards to ensure an immersive, engaging learning experience with access to the best digital resources. However, we understand that some families prefer face-to-face interaction, especially at the outset. For clients based in London, we’re happy to arrange an initial consultation in person where possible, to help build rapport and establish clear goals.
Are group lessons available?
Our priority is to ensure that each student receives the best possible instruction tailored to their needs. We find that one-to-one tuition is the most effective way to achieve this, allowing us to personalise every session and avoid situations where some students may be held back or left behind.
That said, we understand that cost can be a concern. If we have a small group of students working at a very similar level, we may consider arranging group sessions. In such cases, we take great care to ensure that each student still receives the individual attention they need, while also making the tuition more affordable and accessible.
How are lessons structured?
Each lesson is carefully tailored to the individual student. We begin by understanding the student’s current level and goals. If they are home-schooled, we can design a complete, structured programme from scratch. If they attend school, we ask for their scheme of work, details of upcoming tests, and what they’ve covered so far. We also conduct internal assessments to identify strengths, weaknesses, and any knowledge gaps.
The tuition programme is then aligned to complement what they are doing in school and ensure they are well prepared for upcoming tests and exams. Each session typically includes a review of previous material, coverage of new content, guided practice, and exam-style questions. We check for understanding throughout and set homework to reinforce learning and keep the momentum going between sessions.
Can you help with exam preparation?
Absolutely. We have extensive experience helping students achieve top grades at GCSE and A-Level exams. Our exam preparation goes far beyond what is typically offered in schools. We begin by ensuring students have a solid grasp of the curriculum fundamentals, and then move on to tackling a wide variety of exam-style questions and past papers tailored to their specific exam board.
We also focus on exam technique—helping each student develop strategies that suit their personal strengths, while providing coping methods for any weaker areas. Over time, this builds both skill and confidence. By the time the exam approaches, students will not only feel fully prepared but will have developed a clear, personalised playbook they can confidently rely on to achieve excellent results.
Do you provide homework?
Absolutely! Homework is a key part of our approach and is tailored specifically to each session. It’s designed to consolidate what the student has just learned, reinforce understanding, and continue their learning journey between sessions. We also love including optional brainteasers or enriching problems to keep curiosity alive and minds active throughout the week.
Do you provide progress updates?
Yes, and we believe it’s a vital part of our approach. After each session, you’ll receive a progress update as a voice note from the tutor explaining how the session went and what was covered. This can also be provided in written form. We also offer monthly summaries detailing what has been covered, how the student is doing, and any tailored feedback.
We strongly believe in fostering a positive and ongoing exchange between parents and tutors. These updates help keep you in the loop about your child’s motivation, engagement, and academic progress. To encourage this two-way dialogue, we also schedule regular progress review calls with parents. This ensures we’re working together in the best possible way to support the student and help them reach their goals.
Can you work with students with learning difficulties?
Yes, absolutely. We are committed to supporting all learners and adapting our teaching to meet each student’s needs, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning differences. We do not see neurodiversity as a drawback — in fact, we recognise that everyone thinks and learns differently, and this can be a real strength when approached thoughtfully.
Our tutors carefully tailor our teaching style, session structure, and resources to suit the individual. Small adjustments — such as breaking down wordy questions into clearer mathematical statements, using visual summaries, pacing work differently, or changing how notes are recorded — can make a big difference. We’ve seen how these tailored strategies can help students overcome barriers and thrive.
We also emphasise positive reinforcement and flexibility, and we structure the learning process to align with how each student naturally processes information. For example, students with dyslexia may benefit from more visual representations and opportunities to verbalise ideas, while students with ADHD might benefit from sessions that are broken into shorter, focused segments with active engagement throughout.
